Times Square Content
2019-2021
Two years, a 70 foot billboard and a whole lot of fizz.
From 2019-2021 we worked directly with Coca-Cola to develop content for their seventy foot Times Square board, promoting new product launches, celebrating special days, events and seasons, and generally sparking joy.
With over fifty spots live to date, the challenge has been to work within the bookends of the iconic brand to create content that will stand out in a sea of flashing lights… while not making anyone seasick in the process.
Making the logo bigger has never had such impact.
Our producer Melissa’s parents finally understand what she does for a living, but only kind of.
A big bag of tricks
We’ve had the opportunity to play with all of the tools, deploying a mix of traditional animation, motion graphics, playful 3D and photo-realistic product imagery.
One of the stranger things we’ve had the opportunity to make.
See what we did there?
Time is money.
We developed a set of sneaky processes to generate neon sign inspired spots from simple vector art, allowing us to bypass the 3D process entirely to get these on the board stat.
Illustration development.
On the road to the spots we’ve made so far, we’ve explored a wide range of executions.
