It’s always a breath of fresh air when a large organization gives us the freedom to explore a solution without any pre-conceived starting point. In the past, we’ve made some fun hand-made animations for Sierra Wireless, but wanted to take a different approach. The assignment was to create a video introducing the new Aircard product which showed a diversity of contexts and didn’t rely on audio to tell the story; the video would be played on in-store kiosks.
The AirCard allows users to create wireless hotspots no matter where they are. We wanted to play up this feature by showing a variety of different locations where someone could take their AirCard. By using the splitscreen technique, we could show multiple places at once in a fun way, and reinforce the point that regardless of the locale, the projects value proposition functions in the same way.
