We worked with Estrella, our fave Spanish brewery, and Small Agency (a small agency) to make this spot for Damm's World Padel Tour sponsorship. We leaned hard into a mixed technique approach, combining 2D, 3D and traditional animation to create something juicy and athletic. We even got a little sweaty making it.
Illustration Development
On the road to our bold, colour-blocked look, we dabbled with some scribbles.
In the end, the precision of a vector look was a better match for the athleticism that the spot wanted to convey, but we still have heart for some of the early doodles.
Mixing techniques.
We had great fun combining all the techniques we could get our hands on. We love it when you watch a spot and wonder: how exactly was that made?
